Science Birthday Parties
You CAN give your child an exciting, educational and fun birthday and we do the work!
Mad Science of Portland and Vancouver offers Science Birthday Parties for kids ages 4 – 12.
All of the Mad Science Birthday parties include:
- a fast-paced entertaining and educational show lasting about 1 hour
- full-color poster & certificate for the birthday child
- every child participates in a scientific experiment that results in a take-home party favor
- We turn your birthday child into a Jr. Mad Scientist. We even loan him/her a white lab coat to get into the science party spirit.
Don’t have room at your home? Then rent our Mad Science Party room at the lab and extend your party to 2 hours.
Science Parties at the lab include the room rental and additional science party extras:
- 2-hours in our party room located at the Mad Science Laboratory
- your personal Mad Scientist to assist your group for the full 2 hours
- all the paper products (plates, napkins, utensils, cups)
- tasty kid-friendly beverages
We will have The Party Room completely ready when your guests arrive.

Afterschool Science Programs and Science Workshops
We spark imaginative learning even when school is out! These hands-on, one-hour science programs are themed around a particular area of science and include such topics as rocketry, magnets, polymers and even the science of toys.
Children engage in exciting hands-on activities, watch spectacular demonstrations, participate in inquiry-based discussions and take home things that they have made themselves like model rockets, periscopes, Mad Science putty and more.
Mad Science after-school programs offer children a chance to see just how cool science can be!
